As of last week, ChatGPT, featuring the GPT-4 language model, is officially available. Petey, the application that brings the nifty AI to your Apple Watch, responds excellently with a new update.
Back in March, developer Hidde van der Ploeg first released his Apple Watch app. The new update gives that version the necessary improvements, functionalities and support for GPT-4.
ChatGPT-4 to your Apple Watch thanks to Petey
Completely free, by the way, the update is not. For example, Petey offers in-app purchases in version 1.2, which we are writing about today. Thus, consumers can decide whether they want to use version three or still prefer to switch to ChatGPT-4.
Of course, the application has also been improved for non-paying users. The application for the Apple Watch is now also able to talk in different prompts. Users can additionally choose to customize the application’s icon.

In any case, Petey makes sure that ChatGPT is always with you. So answering tricky questions or requesting information is actually a snap. Pretty tasty, if you ask us.
What exactly does ChatGPT-4 do?
ChatGPT-4 is the latest version of the popular AI bot. Last week, OpenAI introduced GPT-4: a new language model that has even more capabilities. Consider, for example, parsing text and images.
In general, ChatGPT-4 also gives more detailed and accurate answers to your questions, although you still have to be careful with it, according to OpenAI CEO Sam Altman. Flaws within the AI, such as processing incorrect information or delivering violent content, are still present. So too on the Apple Watch.
ChatGPT is an OpenAI AI model designed for natural language processing. It stands for “Conversational Generative Pre-trained Transformer” and is trained on large amounts of text data to be able to simulate human conversations. It can be found, for example, in the Petey app for the Apple Watch.
Will Siri on the Apple Watch answer questions soon?
The arrival of ChatGPT-4 and Petey are interesting. The combination will allow Apple Watch users to get answers in a faster and more natural way than through Siri. The default assistant located on the smartwatch is very limited in comparison.
So our eyes will undoubtedly be on WWDC 2023, Apple’s annual developer conference. Should Cupertino actually want to come up with an answer to ChatGPT-4, chances are pretty good that this will be the time to do so.
