Cooking and baking with an airfryer is a treat, but it also comes with some hassles. A new device from Philips has a solution to a common irritation.
If you love the convenience of an airfryer but get less enthusiastic about cleaning up afterwards, Philips has great news for you. Their new 5000 series airfryer not only does all the hard work during, but also after cooking.
What can the new airfryer do and exactly how much does it cost? We figured it out for you and put it together for you. Is it the perfect gift for the holidays?
This airfryer from Philips has a built-in cleaner
The Philips 5000 series is not just another airfryer, but a combination of a fryer and a steamer. Ideal if you want to put a healthy meal on the table without the hassle. With two separate baskets (one of 3 liters and one of 6 liters) you can prepare different dishes at the same time.
For example, steam vegetables in one basket, while you cook crispy chicken wings in the other. And thanks to synchronized end times, everything is ready at exactly the same time.

Cleaning the gadget is a breeze. The built-in cleaning mode removes grease deposits from the basket and around the hard-to-reach heating tube. No more scrubbing with harsh cleaners: it’s done with the push of a button.
Besides the fact that you don’t have to clean as much, this Philips deep fryer is also enormously versatile. So you can quickly prepare snacks, but also prepare a complete meal. Anything is possible. And because it is a combination of a steamer and fryer, you also save space on your countertop.
How much does the party cost?
Philips’ delicious duo-aifryer is already available in the UK for £250, and you can already score it in Australia as well. It’s a hefty price, but you get a device in return that completely changes your kitchen routine. When the gadget will come to the Netherlands is not yet known.
You can already score the previous model, the 3000 series, in the Netherlands, though. The airfryer has many of the same functions, but is slightly simpler and does not have an automatic cleaner.
