Polestar’s cars are generally fine for driving in winter conditions. Nevertheless, the company decided to make special versions of its latest models that should do that even better.
Many people will have seen the Polestar 2 driving before. In the Netherlands, the car can be found on the road a lot. The Polestar 3 and 4 are perhaps less known, but still certainly interesting. The 3 is an SUV and the 4 a coupe. Thus, the Swedish company has something to feed everyone, as the Polestar 2 could be called a sedan.
The company presented two winter versions of the Polestar 3 and 4 this week. Both models have been raised and received new wheels with different tires that should ensure they perform perfectly on snow and ice. In addition, both cars are equipped with racks on the roof so that more gear, such as skis, can be carried.
Polestar now has an Arctic Circle collection
Besides being optically modified with yellow parts and special stickers, the cars have also been raised. The Polestar 3 by 4 centimeters and the Polestar 4 by 2 centimeters. Furthermore, they have special racing seats, new suspension and racing rims. Also, both models are equipped with appearances that should provide better lighting in the dark.
Back in 2022, Polestar presented a so-called Arctic Circle version of the Polestar 2, which has now joined the brand’s two new Arctic Circle models. The cars were on display Saturday during the FAT Ice Race that took place in Austria.
Cars not coming up for sale
The video above shows the three cars racing through a snowy landscape, including over ice. Anyone hoping to snap up one of the rally cars now that you’ve read this piece is out of luck. This is because, according to Wallpaper.com, Polestar does not plan to produce the cars on a large scale for consumers.
So it will stick to the models the company has presented now. They will probably be seen at future car events. If you would like a rally version of one of the cars, you will have to tinker.
