The electric cars with the greatest range in 2024

Electric cars these days can travel considerable distances. But these vehicles are an outside category with a range that says “you”.

You haven’t had to worry about your electric car having too little range for a long time. The vehicles are getting better and better, and so are getting longer ranges.

Of course, there are always outliers that can cover hundreds of miles on a single charge. We’ve listed the six best ones for you.

The electric cars with the greatest range

You really don’t have to have range anxiety anymore with these electric cars. They can take you really far on one charge. Here they come.

#6 Tesla Model S electric car

In 2012, the Model S popped into the world of EVs. And the fact that it is still in this list shows that it is a tremendously powerful electric car.

The base version of the Model S still offers a respectable 600 kilometers with twin motors and AWD. If you go all out with three motors and 1,006 horsepower, you get a great power boost, but also a slightly smaller range of up to 587 kilometers.

#5 Polestar 2 Long Range

Volvo’s former racing division is now fully engaged in electric cars. And they are making quite a name for themselves. Leading the way is the Polestar 2: after some tinkering in the summer of 2023, the main improvement is the longer range.

The entry-level single-engine, standard range model now has a 69 kWh battery, good for up to 635 kilometers, while the dual-engine version has a range of 592 kilometers.

#4 Porsche Taycan electric car

The first all-electric Porsche was already a technological marvel, but in 2024 it has gotten even better thanks to a major update. The battery is now larger, with a capacity of 105 kWh instead of 93 kWh.

This allows the rear-wheel-drive Taycan to travel up to 678 kilometers on a single charge. That’s a 35 percent increase. And with a charging capacity of 320 kW, it now takes only 18 minutes to charge the electric car from 10 to 80 percent.
