Chinese automaker Zeekr is packing big with its new 7X SUV. This electric car effortlessly leaves many other SUVs behind.
In the era of electric cars, we have already seen impressive performance passing by. Think of the Lucid Air with its enormous range or the lightning-fast Porsche 911. You would almost think it couldn’t get any better.
Zeekr, a car manufacturer from China, proves otherwise. The brand impresses with the new 7X. According to Zeekr, this electric SUV can drive farther than most current EVs, charges faster and has impressive acceleration figures.
The Chinese electric car that knocks Porsche out of the running
The 7X, also coming to Europe, is Zeekr’s first midsize SUV and targets a wider audience. In doing so, the brand abandons its previous focus on luxury sedans and opts for the popular SUV style we see a lot in Europe and America.
The electric car offers plenty of interior space and comfort thanks to a specially designed electric platform that pays extra attention to head and leg room. In addition, there are no less than 32 storage compartments for anything and everything. From sunglasses to lipstick. There’s probably room for large water bottles, too.

The numbers don’t lie: the 7X is equipped with powerful electric motors that let the SUV shoot from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds. That’s faster than many modern electric cars – even faster than a Porsche 911!
The entry-level model of the 7X has a 75 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, good for a range of 605 km. The longer range variant uses a 100 kWh nickel-manganese-cobalt (NMC) battery, which allows it to travel 780 km on a single charge. This is close to the range of the Lucid Air Grand Touring model. And far surpasses the Tesla Model S.
The EV can even drive autonomously
In addition, Zeekr promises that the 7X is packed with advanced technology. The electric car features advanced cameras and sensors that work together to gather information about traffic. This not only enables autonomous driving, but it also provides additional safety.
With LFP batteries that can recharge from 10% to 80% in just 10.5 minutes and likely extensive infotainment, Zeekr shows that Chinese manufacturers really are at the forefront of EV technology after all.
No word yet on pricing or exactly when and where the electric car will go on sale. Chinese brands are known to significantly undercut their competitors, so you can count on competitive prices when the 7X appears in Europe. We already can’t wait.
