Being able to read back a conversation written out can be quite handy. This inexpensive gadget that works with AI should be able to easily take care of that for you.
The popularity of AI has been on an unprecedented rise since the advent of ChatGPT. Various language models, such as those from ChatGPT and Google, have been repurposed into apps that you can download onto your phone. In addition, several AI applications, such as models that allow you to create text-based videos and photos, can be used through sites.
But even hardware is now richly equipped with AI. For example, the iPhones Apple presented this year are true AI devices, according to the tech company. But there is more. Open Vision Engineering, a relatively unknown company, has released the Pocket. The tiny device promises to record, transcribe and analyze conversations. And that for only about 80 euros.
AI gadget is a kind of fat debit card
The Pocket looks like a kind of thick ATM card. You can easily carry it around, and even clip it to the back of your iPhone via MagSafe. Through an app, you connect the device to your smartphone. With the push of a button you can record conversations. Those conversations are automatically transcribed afterwards with AI.
The conversations can also be analyzed, TechRadar writes. That way it is easy to find out how conversations developed, and how ideas came about. In the transcribed conversations, moreover, it is easy to see back who said what during a conversation.

First 200 minutes are free
You can record 200 minutes of audio per month with the Pocket without paying. If you want to use it more, you have to buy so-called credits for that. TechRadar notes that the use of the Pocket, also due to its low purchase price, is a cheaper than that of similar gadgets that can do the same thing based on AI.
The Pocket will go on sale starting next year. Whether the device can also be ordered in the Netherlands is not clear. But via the Internet you should be able to get it.
