Good news for fans of smart lighting. Philips Hue is coming soon with an update that will allow your lights to automatically change color throughout the day.
I’m sure we don’t have to tell you that sometimes your head goes off for a moment during the daily grind. At such times, all you really want to do is dive back into your bed. Philips Hue now comes out with a new feature that gives you an extra boost just then and helps you keep going energetically.
Two new 24-hour scenes, “Golden Hours” and “Nature’s Colors,” tailor your lighting to your daily rhythm. During the day, warm, energetic hues help you get through work hours comfortably, while at night the colors gradually fade to a soothing atmosphere.
The wonderful new feature of Philips Hue
If you already have Hue bulbs in your home, you’re probably familiar with ‘scenes,’ those ready-made settings that let you adjust your lights to the mood of the moment in one tap. The Philips Hue app is already full of atmospheric options like “Cosy,” “Party Vibes,” and “Futuristic.
This lets you choose whether your lights stay static or dynamically move through colors. And do you have something else in mind? Then simply create your own scene and you can even share it with others. The newest scenes, “Golden Hours” and “Nature’s Colors,” take it a step further. According to a leak, “Golden Hours” are mostly warm and soft tones, ideal for a cozy atmosphere.

‘Nature’s Colors’ is a special new scene that mimics the colors of the sun throughout the day. You start with warm morning tones, switch to cooler colors in the afternoon, and end with warm tones by evening. The colors give you an energy kick in the morning and help you relax more easily later in the day.
Philips Hue has not yet shared an official release date, but the leaked screenshots of the app already look pretty ready. So chances are that this feature will be out soon.
Why smart bulbs are so great
Philips Hue is known for its versatile and quality smart lighting. From LED strips and table lamps to ceiling lights and outdoor lighting – they have something for everyone. The system works through the Philips Hue Bridge, which connects everything to your wifi and allows you to control your lights through the app or with voice assistants like Alexa or Google Assistant. Extra nice: you can also pair the bulbs with smart switches, cameras or sensors.
The Hue system is top-notch, but not cheap. A separate smart bulb can quickly cost more than 20 euros. Still, many users remain enthusiastic, mainly because of its durability and extensive capabilities. After all, the smart lighting system offers endless options to give your home exactly the atmosphere you are looking for.
