Traveling to Schiphol Airport can sometimes be a very stressful activity. You have to arrive on time and that is not always easy. Especially huge suitcases can sometimes be quite a challenge. Either your good friend can’t drop you off, or it’s a huge hassle on the train. Uber is now coming up with a solution.
As of now, Uber has a new service called UberXXL. No, this is not a Boeing 747, but a cab where really everything has to fit.
A new way to Schiphol Airport with Uber
When you go to or leave from Schiphol Airport, you will see UberXXL in your Uber menu. This is not a huge bus or truck, but it is a car in which you should be able to put all your luggage. It has a large trunk and can take enough people.
In total, UberXXL will launch at 60 different airports, 40 of which are in the United States. Examples include Miami, Washington and New York Newark. The 20 international airports include Madrid in addition to Amsterdam/Schiphol.

Two more new features
Okay, so the luggage seems to be taken care of, but now to arrive at Schiphol on time. For that too, Uber has a new feature when you book an Uber. This new feature is called Flight Capture. It allows passengers to enter their flight details, after which the app advises what is the best time to leave. This way, you will always arrive on time.
If there is a delay, for example, you will be asked whether you still want to be at the airport at the same time, or be dropped off later. Moreover, it is possible to add multiple stops. This makes it easier to share an Uber with people who live somewhere else. Also handy if you’re going to Schiphol with friends.
iPhone users can keep track of their Uber even easier. The company has created a special widget on your iPhone. With two presses, it allows you to book an Uber. Handy if you use the cab service a lot.
