The dark days are just around the corner, but with the right lighting, they actually become cozier. Philips Hue is now at the forefront of lighting for Christmas with Festavia, but of course there are other alternatives.
There are countless ways to brighten up Christmas, but good lighting works best if possible. There are many cool sets for that, such as those from Philips Hue, but also cheaper alternatives from Konstsmide, for example.
Make your Christmas sparkly with the likes of Philips Hue
Philips Hue has now released a special line for the holidays. Festavia is intended for Christmas, among other things, but is of course great for other special times as well.
The 20-meter-long light cord has 250 smart mini-LEDs and is easy to drape around your Christmas tree, baseboards or stairs, for example. And the great thing (of course) is that you don’t have to crawl under your Christmas tree, for example.
Unfortunately, this Philips accessory also fits the bill of being quite spicy expensive: the light cord costs €159.99.
An almost American Christmas.
Konstsmide is much cheaper than Philips Hue and equally impressive
For a reasonable price of about 95 euros, you can also choose lighting from Konstsmide. For that you get a light cord about 5.6 meters long with 560 LED lights. The advantage is that the cord can be used both indoors and outdoors.
The downside, however, is that unlike Philips Hue, it only emits warm white light. This lighting can also be controlled with an app.
Twinkle with Twinkly
Other clever and beautiful Christmas lights include Twinkly. This set is also great for indoor and outdoor use. The unique thing about this set is that each LED light can be set via an app.
In addition, you can set beautiful light patterns. Twinkly costs 66.50.
FlinQ light chain
Slightly cheaper still is LinQ’s light chain. This one has 160 LED lights and is 19 meters long. The big advantage is that the FlinQ 160 LED 160 is compatible with the company’s other lighting products (like Philips Hue).
In addition, this set is also great to use outdoors for a Christmas tree or your home.

A blissfully lit and affordable Christmas with Belife
Surely the cheapest in the series is Belife’s Christmas lights. At 10 meters, the light cord is considerably shorter than others, but otherwise does exactly the same job. The set costs 16.95 euros. Thanks to the app on iPhone or Android, you can choose from just about any color of the rainbow and cool patterns.
All in all, the time with silly Christmas lights is really a thing of the past and the great thing is: everything can be set thanks to apps.
