5 things GTA 6 can learn from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas

Believe it or not: Grand Theft Auto 5 is already almost 10 years old. Although GTA Online is still hugely popular, we at WANT can’t wait to get started on its successor, GTA 6. We hope these aspects of GTA San Andreas will return.

GTA 5 is one of the best games ever made, with a Metacritic score of a whopping 97. So Rockstar Games has set the bar very high for itself when it comes to GTA 6.

This is what GTA 6 can learn from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas

However, according to many, GTA: San Andreas is the real gem, so we hope the developer learns some lessons from it.

#1 Many hours of play in GTA 6

GTA 5 and GTA: San Andreas are both massive games richly filled with missions, characters and areas to explore. Both games have a play time of over 30 hours. As far as we are concerned, that is something that should definitely return in GTA 6: a long-lasting engaging storyline to get your teeth into.

In any case, the new female protagonist already sounds very promising.

#2 Gang Wars

Granted, there is some gang-related content in GTA 5, but this is very limited. In contrast, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas was very gang-oriented.

We would love to see the Gang Wars feature make its return in GTA 6, to make gameplay more varied and return to that cool feature from the past.

#3 Weight loss (and gain)

In both Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and Red Redemption 2, Rockstar has added a tasty realistic feature, namely weight change. As you eat more or less in-game, you will see this reflected in your character’s weight.

It doesn’t just have a visual change, though. In GTA: San Andreas, CJ’s weight affected how fast he could run. The same goes for Arthur Morgan in Red Dead Redemption 2. In addition, this encourages you to visit a restaurant or cafe more often.

#4 Gym

If there is one thing we miss from GTA: San Andreas, it is the ability to go to the gym. In GTA V, there may be some gyms available as locations, but it is not possible to work out with the fitness machines yourself.

GTA 6 could reintroduce this feature from us. Especially if weight changes are a thing again. Visiting the gym would then be a nice free-roaming activity for in between delicious gunfights.

#5 Romance

In GTA: San Andreas, it was possible for CJ to date different women. As a player, you could then unlock a perk, car or outfit. In GTA 5, however, romance is much less present and rewards can no longer be found for engaging in relationships.

If GTA 6 were to bring back the romance, it adds yet another gameplay element dar makes the playable character even more human. We also hope there will be rewards to earn again, giving you an extra reason to explore romances.
