The exclusive Assassin’s Creed game Ubisoft is bringing to Netflix

Soon you will be able to play a new game from the Assassin’s Creed franchise via Netflix. The publisher of the games, Ubisoft, announced this during an extensive presentation this weekend. Besides Assassin’s Creed you can also count on new games within two other popular and well-known series of the publisher.

Those other two games fall within the series Valiant Hearts and Mighty Quest for Epic Loot. The former title is a puzzle adventure set during World War I. The second title, Mighty Quest, is a hack-n-slash adventure, according to the publisher. So you can run, ram and collect treasure.

Ubisoft and Netflix

The collaboration between Netflix and Ubisoft is not new. Both companies have been collaborating on mobile games since 2021. The new titles will soon all be playable within the Netflix app on mobile devices. You then download them to your smartphone or tablet and don’t incur any additional costs.

We don’t yet know exactly when we’ll be able to get our hands on Assassin’s Creed for mobile devices. But Valiant Hearts has now been given a release month in the form of January 2023. Mighty Quest for Epic Loot is also due out sometime in 2023; an exact date or makes has not yet been announced.

What about that Assassin’s Creed series?

Meanwhile, Netflix and Ubisoft are also working on an Assassin’s Creed series, about which fairly little else is known. Let’s hope that series takes a different route than the movie that came out in 2016. It’s not a bad thing for filmmakers to take some creative liberties, but then of course it shouldn’t become a mess.

Finally, it is notable that research shows that only one percent of Netflix subscribers venture into the free games offerings. But that doesn’t bother the company for now. This company sees that as a multi-year plan, one that it can hopefully reap the benefits of in a few years.
