Meet the rival to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4

The number of foldable phones can still be counted on one hand. Right now, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 absolutely rules the roost in this segment, but that might be changed by the new Motorola Razr.

The foldable, or foldable phone has been around for a long time. In the early 1990s, there was a huge explosion of models that could fold open and close. But one of them stood out head and shoulders above the rest: the Motorola Razr V3. And that icon has now received a successor.

Motorola Razr versus Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4

It’s only been about three years now that you can actually fold a smartphone. By now, the most famous models are the Galaxy Z Flip and the Fold, but now they get to contend with a “newcomer” with a huge reputation.

An absolute classic! (Image: Wikipedia)

The Motorola Razr 2022 was released in the Netherlands today. And like the Flip 4, with a price tag of 1,199 euros, it is not exactly a very cheap device. However, you do get decent specs in return.

Fine specs

For example, the Motorola Razr has a 6.7-inch screen with a resolution of 2400 x 1800 with an impressive refresh rate of 144Hz. The second screen is 2.7-inch and has a resolution of 800 x 573 with a refresh rate of 60Hz.

The Razr has a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chip and has 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. On the back you will find a 50 megapixel main camera and a 13 megapixel ultra wide. In addition, the device (of course) supports 5G, has two speakers that support Dolby Atmos and a fingerprint scanner.

In any case, we can’t wait to get started with the Motorola Razr. Especially also due to the fact that we were awed by the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 in our review.

So be sure to keep an eye on WANT because we will soon get our hands on this intriguing device.
