Oppo’s new foldable smartphone is one we don’t want

Several smartphone brands are betting full on foldable phones. Oppo is also making a push. But are you really waiting for that?

I think it would be quite interesting to sit at a product meeting of a major electronics manufacturer. Because there are fewer and fewer really big innovations in smartphones, you have to think out-of-the-box sometimes. Something probably went wrong at Oppo.

Oppo’s extraordinary foldable phone

Oppo is all too eager to overtake Samsung in terms of smartphone brands. The company has now mastered the foldable phone. Especially the Flip5 with the new front screen seems to be a really nice addition.

Oppo has now come up with its own version for that. One that looks special to say the least. That has everything to do with the fact that the screen is now on the side of the main camera.

Of course, that’s nice if you like taking selfies, but that’s where it ends. It is not at all convenient if you want to answer messages or quickly check something. That way you still have to flip open that phone every time and the phone seems to lose its function.

Here’s what else the smartphone can do

Still, the camera is the real showpiece of the Oppo Find N3 Flip. That one seems to be the best so far in a foldable phone. It has a 50 MP main camera, a 48 MP ultra-wide-angle lens with macro capabilities and a 32 MP telephoto camera. In addition, with Hasselblad, it has an excellent partner for good photos.

Under the phone’s hood is a Dimensity 9200 chip and 12 GB of RAM. The battery with a capacity of 4,300 mAh seems to be enough for a day, and with 44W of charging power, you’ll still have quick battery life when your phone is running low.

The big question that remains is how expensive this foldable smartphone from Oppo will cost. That is unknown for now.
