You can now turn Helldivers 2 into the Star Wars game we’ve always dreamed of. It’s a true Clone Wars experience.
Helldivers 2 has been a huge hit since its release in February. The game was so popular at one point that it even beat the player count records of other games such as GTA 5 and Starfield. At the time, this also became too much for the nonexpecting servers for a while.
Of course, the game is fun enough as it is, but if you are a fan of Star Wars, there is some good news. There are mods made for Helldivers 2 that allow you to turn the game into the perfect Star Wars game we want so badly.
Star Wars in Helldivers 2
The perfect Star Wars game is hidden in Helldivers 2. There are several mods created by ToastedShoes that can help you with this. They are three different mods, all with a different feature for the real Star Wars experience. All mods are free to install on Nexusmods, and are only available for the PC version of Helldivers 2. You do have to buy the game itself via Steam.
The first mod makes you look like a Clone Trooper of the 501st legion, these were under the command of Anakin. There is also another mod that turns all the ships into the corresponding Clone Wars ships of the Republic. And boom, your Helldivers 2 character is now a Clone Trooper. But you have no real Clone Wars experience if you have to fight a Behemoth or Berseker. Fortunately, there is a solution to this as well with the third mod you need. The Star Wars Enemies mod automatically transforms all enemies into the Battle Droid army of the Seperatists. Now you can fight for the Republic against the Seperatist Army as a proud Clone Trooper.
The game we dream of
Although Star Wars has given us good games like Battlefront 2 or the Jedi games before, the Helldivers 2 mod is the Clone Wars game that fans dream of. You can blast an entire map full of Droids with a small group of Clones. And all with good mechanics and graphics.
