Call of Duty fans stomp the wrong Modern Warfare III

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 player comes up with the perfect feature

When game developers wait too long to make good updates, players take matters into their own hands. This fan made the perfect feature for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has been dragged through the mud quite a bit. Rightly so too, the game did not offer as much as you would expect in the earlier days after its release. Fortunately, Activision and Sledgehammer Games are slowly but surely appeasing fans with good updates and new content.

Only for some players, it’s all taking just a little too long. Or cries to add additional features are ignored by Sledgehammer Games. A fan of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 took matters into his own hands and created a fantastic feature for the game. And the feature is so good, Activision should learn from it.

Fans would love nothing more than to see this feature in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

Anyone who thinks of Call of Duty will also quickly think of the many camos that can be earned. ‘Take so many headshots with this weapon’ or ‘go on a killing spree with this weapon’. The camo challenges often do not consist of complex objectives. At least on paper.

In fact, it can be quite frustrating not knowing how far along you are on a particular challenge. Especially when the challenges are long and/or have to be completed within one lifetime. It is precisely this frustration that redditor ygorhpr turned into a mock-up: he created a design for a possible camo track system. The system allows you to see on the pause menu how far you are with certain challenges.

And there appears to be a great need for this camotracker. Comments on the reddit post praise ygorhpr for the design. But among the compliments and praise, there are also comments critical of Call of Duty developer Sledgehammer.

For example, some players speculate that Sledgehammer Games will never, ever add this feature. The reason? It would help players pass the challenges too quickly. And players who have passed all the challenges are more likely to quit Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. If these redditors are to be believed, it’s deliberate clumsiness that should keep us gaming longer.

Intentionally clumsy or premeditated, sometimes you can be completely fed up with Call of Duty for a while. Fortunately, there are plenty of alternatives. Especially then check out these:
