iOS 18 may give iPhone apps Notes, Photos and Mail a makeover

Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman expects Apple to give a number of established iPhone apps much-needed improvements with iOS 18.

At the WWDC 2024 keynote on June 10, Apple will introduce us to a number of new versions of existing operating systems, and iOS 18, the new major update we can expect to see on the iPhone around September, is one of them.

According to Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman, this update will give at least some existing apps a makeover. In his newsletter (Power On), the journalist talks about Notes, Mail, Photos and Fitness. Exactly what features will be involved, Gurman does not know.

iOS 18 brings improved notes to iPhone

This is the first mention of Mail, Photos and Fitness, but the Notes app has previously been associated with iOS 18. The iPhone update reportedly provides it with a built-in dictaphone and improved support for math solutions.

iOS 18, as mentioned, will be unveiled at the WWDC 2024 keynote (in Apple Park) on June 10, 2024. There have been many rumors about the iPhone update, but official word really won’t be heard until around this date. Although Apple itself seems to be taking reasonable aim at AI.
