Call of Duty fans stomp the wrong Modern Warfare III

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III gives fans back their beloved game mode

Starting Wednesday, December 6, Call of Duty fans can get to work on the first official season of Modern Warfare III. After quite a few negative reports, Activision seems to want to do something right. A beloved mode is officially returning.

After we saw last month that Call of Duty fans were anything but happy with Modern Warfare III, but did run the wrong game into the ground, there is something to be happy about as far as I’m concerned. With Gunfight, the game’s first season brings us a lost game mode that the game desperately needs.

Call of Duty pulls off familiar trick with Modern Warfare III

In 2019, Activision managed to shock quite a few Call of Duty fans by releasing Modern Warfare as a remaster. To win those same fans over and convince them of its plans, developer Infinity Ward introduced a mode called Gunfight.

Players around the world loved the concept: 2-on-2 battles with random weapons in different rounds. In fact, it was such a success that Activision threw entire tournaments into Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.

When Modern Warfare II came out, however, the popular game mode was nowhere to be seen. And Gunfight is also nowhere to be found in Modern Warfare III. The reason? It’s an easy way for Activision to satisfy fans, halfway through, anyway.

Fortunately for us, however, criticism of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III is causing the trick to be pulled sooner. With the first season, we get Gunfight, and thus a beloved game mode, back.

This is what season 1 gets you in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III

A season in Call of Duty simply means a number of things: new weapons, new maps, new missions, new operators and a new Battle Pass.

Not only multiplayer, but Zombies and Warzone will also face the changes through the season.

Starting Dec. 6 at 6 p.m., you will have access to the following in that area:

Multiplayer gets four new maps and more

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III will get no less than four new multiplayer maps on December 6: Meat, Greece, Rio and Training Facility. That last but one will appear mid-season and the latter will only be available in 2-on-2 battles.

So on that note, we can welcome Gunfight back to the first person shooter, which will really bring a lot of joy to many fans. In addition to the new map, four other arenas also return to the game.

All or Nothing is the new game modes in the limited-time Vortex where players use a one-shot Ray Gun. That combined with CODMAS events and Ranked Play should make multiplayer feel a little fresher again.

Season 1 gives Zombies new storyline

Modern Warfare III, if I may be honest, has a pretty cool zombie mode. That, with the first season of Call of Duty, a new act is being added is only to be commended. A huge portal in the Exclusion Zone creates question marks and you must investigate.

In addition, with the Dark Aether Rifts, the update introduces a new labyrinth that challenges teams to complete a number of objectives within the given time. However, you must find enough Sigils to unlock the Dark Aether.

In the process, Modern Warfare III also drops a new Wonder Weapon, Warlord Dokkaebi and more.

Modern Warfare III affects Warzone

Those who play Call of Duty primarily for Warzone are in the right place with this update. Modern Warfare III, with its moves and mechanics, for example, also exerts its influence on this mode.

In addition, Season 1 introduces the next major map and Urzikstan is the playing field that will feature many new features and updates. Ashika Island and Vondel, however, will remain available as usual.

The new update allows for horizontal ziplines and trains, gives you a new Gulag and is also completely in the style of CODMAS. The best part about this is the fact that you get to meet Zombie Santa.

Smile ya!
