It’s been possible to play Call of Duty Mobile on your smartphone for a long time, but now Warzone is being added. Can your old iPhone or Android handle this?
Call of Duty Mobile is a real favorite on iPhone or Android for many people. It allows you to have a quick game on the go on the train or during the break at work.
Until now, Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile was available as a limited release. Now the entire version is being released worldwide for Android and iPhone. At the time of writing, the game is not yet available in the App Store, but it is possible that it will be later today. But will you be able to play the game with your old device, or will it just go on tilt?
Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile on Android and iPhone
Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile is already available for download for iPhone and Android in some countries. The game has a size of about 1.5 GB, which is therefore quite large. As such, you would be wise to download via wifi. So that’s less than the 2.9 GB the basic version already takes in disk space.
This 1.5 GB gives you some kind of basic images. As you play, better quality is downloaded in the background. So the images in Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile may still look a little rough at first.
As you play, you can choose from five different settings for the graphics: min, low, mid, high and peak. In addition, it is also possible to choose between battery life or frame rate. It is also possible to set a maximum number of frames per second.
So far, peak is only available for the iPhone 15 Pro and iPads with an M1 chip or newer. For all other devices (including thus Android) the maximum is high.

OK, so those are the maximum graphics, but what about the mimimum requirements to play Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile? For Android devices, you need a minimum of 4GB Ram and an Adreno 618 GPU. So that’s a Snapdragon 720 G and later. That 720G was in midrange Samsungs in 2020, for example. So even if you don’t have a flagship that is slightly older, you can just play the game.
If you’re playing on an iPhone, it needs to run on iOS 16 or better as a minimum. In addition, you need 3GB of RAM or more. So you can still play it on fairly old devices.

Got the game installed? Then you can play Call of Duty: Warzone on your Android and iPhone. Both Verdansk and Rebirth Island are available, where you can play with 120 men at a time. Also available are the Multiplayer maps Shipment, Shoot House and Scrapyard.
