These are NIO’s electric cars
Let’s start with a brief introduction of NIO. Founded in 2014, this company has already launched several models. The latest addition to its lineup is the NIO EL6, which aims to expand its sales business in even more countries. Meanwhile, the company has already produced more than 300,000 electric cars.
However, the situation was very different in 2020, when NIO was on the verge of bankruptcy. However, it found new investors and was able to expand into Europe as a result. In 2022, it made its appearance in the Netherlands with several models, and now the latest addition is the NIO EL6. This car is available now.

NIO has a unique technology for charging their vehicles, where the batteries are swapped in special stations. This technology is currently used mainly in China. This allows the car to have a fully charged battery within five minutes, which is significantly faster than charging through a regular charging station.
What does the EL6 offer?
For the NIO EL6 in the Netherlands, it is not yet possible to use the battery-changing system. So you will just have to charge the car at home. However, you do not have to do this as often as with many other electric cars. The NIO EL6 comes with two battery options. The first has a range of up to 506 kilometers, while the second offers a range of 529 kilometers. In addition, a 150 kWh battery is under development, which will further increase the range.

The NIO EL6 features two electric motors, resulting in all-wheel drive. Together, the two motors produce 489 horsepower, allowing the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 4.5 seconds. Moreover, you can choose from nine different driving modes to find the most comfortable setting for your driving experience.
The car’s interior features a digital dashboard and an advanced infotainment system. In addition, the EL6 has a panoramic roof that can be opened. You also have the option of special lounge seats, which can be adjusted to a reclining position at the touch of a button. Additional features are also available, such as a massage function, but you have to pay extra for these.
The NIO EL6 with the 75 kWh battery is available from 67,900 euros, while the version with the 100 kWh battery costs 76,900 euros. The car was announced earlier this year and is now actually available in the Netherlands.
