The problem making us wait longer for the iPhone 15

Sorry Tim, we know when you come up with that new iPhone 15

There is a good chance that Apple will show the new iPhone 15 series on Wednesday, September 13, 2023. At the annual event, we may also be introduced to two new Apple Watch models.

Usually such events are scheduled in the first or second week of September. Given expected problems within the production line, the second week of September, with a distributed launch, is the most realistic expectation.

‘Apple to introduce iPhone 15 on Sept. 13’

Several sources report to 9to5Mac, one of the largest Apple websites in the world, that employees of telecom providers may not take time off on Wednesday, September 13. “This is because of a major phone announcement on this day,” is the message given to them, according to insiders.

Of course, the only phone launch in September that could have such an impact is the announcement of the new iPhone 15 series. Should the event really be held on September 13, there is a good chance that certain models will be available for order starting September 15.

While we expect that these models will then actually go on sale starting September 22, we should note that there are currently problems within the production line. So it could just be that Apple will not launch certain devices until later.

Big changes for Pro models

The iPhone 15 series will again consist of four different models in 2023, two of which will receive the Pro label. As such, those are the variants that will feature the biggest additions and improvements.

For example, one expects a new screen panel with ultra-thin screen bezels, allowing the display to be larger without the casing. The iPhone 15 Pro (Max) will also carry a USB-C connector, an A17 chip (3nm) and larger batteries.

In addition to the iPhone 15 models, we can also expect the new Apple Watch Series 9, Apple Watch Ultra 2 and AirPods. The latter will likely feature a USB-C connector.

Keep in mind that the above information is not official. So do take it with a grain of salt.
