Like Elden Ring, these games have phenomenal expansions

Elden Ring is coming out with a new expansion. Shadow of the Erdtree promises to be absolutely worth your money. Until that DLC comes out, you can have a little sweet time with these great expansions.

Elden Ring is popular. Incredibly popular. This month the game may blow out two candles. And after all this time, gamers are still deeply immersed in the challenging but beautiful world. Not surprising when you consider that even Game of Thrones writer George R.R. Martin collaborated on the game.

After two years, fans yearn for new content. Developer From Software has answered the prayers and presents the first expansion to Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. With everything we already know about the DLC, it promises to be a true beauty. Still, we have to wait a long time. That’s why we sought out some equally phenomenal DLCs for you.

Why the new Elding Ring DLC is absolutely worth your money

If all goes well, the expansion will be released on June 21, 2024 on PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Steam and the older consoles that Elden Ring is also playable on. That’s more than two and a half years after the release of Elden Ring. Isn’t that a bit long? Yes. But when you see what will be added, that wait is more than worth it.

Aside from a host of new weapons, items and a completely new area to explore, the game also adds a completely new “power system. In this way, the bosses and enemies in the expansion are a challenge for everyone. Those who were hoping to waltz through them in one go with their strongest character are out of luck.

Furthermore, Shadow of the Erdtree adds new magic, a challenging storyline and a host of new ways to slay. The DLC costs $39.99.

These DLCs, like Shadow of the Erdtree, are a great addition

It will be a while until June 21. In the meantime, you might want to take a look at these DLCs. These expansions add an awful lot to your games and are definitely worth your money.

Burial At Sea

Bioschock Infinite | PlayStation 3, Xbox 360

It took gamers a while to get used to when Bioschock Infinite came out. The first two Bioschock games played out underwater. With Infinite, suddenly you were miles high in the sky.

Burial At Sea capitalizes on that nostalgic miss. The expansion takes you to the place where the first two games took place. And Rapture is at least as intriguing and dangerous. So the ideal DLC for the goldfish who once played Elden Ring (really!).

Artorias Of The Abyss

Dark Souls | PS4, Xbox One, Switch, PC

Those who still prefer to stay in the same atmosphere as Elden Ring should take a look at the original Dark Souls. And then especially the Artorias Of The Abyss DLC.

This expansion appeared on PlayStation 4 generation and is incredibly difficult, but fair. Exactly as we know it from Elden Ring as well. The expansion is slightly faster and harder than Dark Souls, but absolutely worth it.

Undead Nightmare

Red Dead Redemption | PlayStation 3 and 4, Xbox 360, Switch

Red Dead Redemption was a fantastic game anyway. Add in zombies and you have an incredibly fun DLC. Who would have ever thought that zombies and cowboys would ever go so well together?

Undead Nightmare has the right combination of action, challenge and fun. Especially the new weapons, like holy water, are hilarious and so well executed. Who knows, maybe we’ll see a zombie expansion for Red Dead Redemption 2 someday.

Left Behind

The Last of Us: Part 1 | PlayStation 5

We stay in the zombie theme for a while with Left Behind. We saw this DLC recently in one of the episodes of The Last of Us on HBO. All the more reason to experience it again for yourself.

This intimate and impressive story adds a whole new dimension to the character of Ellie. The heartbreaking conclusion of this expansion makes the already amazing The Last of Us even more awesome.

The Old Hunters

Bloodborne | PlayStation 4

Another Elden Ring-like expansion to prepare us for Shadow of the Erdtree. Bloodborne has been a huge success among fans of the Dark Souls series. Expansion The Old Hunters adds almost everything fans could want: more information about the world, new weapons, and retemough bossfights.

The Old Hunters is also sometimes considered the hardest Dark Souls DLC. The perfect exercise to brush up on your skills before the Elden Ring expansion.
