PlayStation 5 and Xbox players really can’t wait for these games

And no hassle with exclusive releases, these games are coming out on both consoles: PlayStation 5 and Xbox players really can’t wait for these games.

Hades II | TBA

Hades II may not have a release date yet, but the fanbase is already eager for the sequel to the fantastic Hades. This roguelike takes a lot of inspiration from mythology and was one of the biggest games of 2020.

No wonder players can’t wait for the sequel. Everything we now know about the game points to it being as big a success as part 1.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 | March 22

Bring on those next-gen roleplaying games! After the monstrous success of Baldur’s Gate 3, RPGs are more in the spotlight than ever. Dragon’s Dogma 2 might be just the game if you want to lose yourself in a game for hundreds of hours.

As in the first part, you will engage in blood-curdling battles with monsters and other enemies in a mega open-world. Dragon’s Dogma is known for the way each class has something completely refreshing and that the combat is exciting time and time again. Part 2 builds on that with even more classes to choose from. PlayStation 5 and Xbox players had better clear some hours in their calendars.

Black Myth: Wukong | Aug. 20 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X

Black Myth: Wukong is based on a Buddhist story from the 16th century called Journey to the West. In all that time, countless movies, series and other games have been made from it. So why would any PlayStation 5 or Xbox player want to play this game? It will be a relentless challenge that looks stunning from start to finish.

The game will have some familiarity for fans of the Dark Souls series. Difficult bossfights, challenging enemies and a completely dark atmosphere. It might even become the next Elden Ring And that’s exactly what makes Black Myth: Wukong a game to look forward to. Because come on: what game has a gooder atmosphere?

Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree | TBA

Should the previous mentioned game, Black Myth: Wukong, still disappoint, there will just be another cool Elden Ring expansion coming. We just don’t know exactly when yet. The DLC was announced almost a year ago. With that, it could be ready any time.

What we already know is that the expansion will have the same melancholy feel as Elden Ring. (Sometimes a little too) difficult boss fights are not to be missed. Fortunately, regardless of whether gamers are playing on PlayStation 5 or Xbox, they can give each other tips and tricks. The expansion is coming to all consoles.

Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden | Feb. 13

The creators of Life is Strange dive into a deep, dark world with Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden. As a kind of ghost hunter, a Banisher, you make your way through 17th-century world. But this action-RPG isn’t just battling ghosts: you’re searching for the ghost of your loved one.

If we should expect anything from game makers Don’t Nod is that their stories have impact. Especially when we get the dark atmosphere of Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden. That’s guaranteed to be nights awake for PlayStation 5 and Xbox gamers. By the way, remember how good Life is Strange 2 was:

Alone in the Dark | March 20 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X

The older guard among us may remember Alone in the Dark as a fine horror game from the 1990s. Publisher THQ Nordic wants to bring the game back to life with a full remake. And for that they are pulling out all the stops.

We can expect not only improved graphics and better gameplay, but also a few familiar faces. For example, Stranger Things actor David Harbour and Killing Eve actress Jodie Comer are starring in the game. It doesn’t really matter which good-looking characters walk around in the game. Alone in the Dark is one of the founding fathers of the survival horror genre. A full next-gen remake therefore creates high expectations
