PlayStation Plus users can still get their hands on a handful of free games every month. Here’s why you’ll always want to claim the free PlayStation 5 games listed, even if you’re still playing on a PS4.
One of the main reasons to claim all the free PlayStation Plus games as soon as possible is because the games are only free to download for a limited time. Once the next month’s PS Plus games are free to download, the previous free games usually expire. This applies to both the PlayStation 5 and the PlayStation 4.
Claim those free PlayStation 5 games right away!
By the way, did you know that in June you can download the games NBA 2K23, Jurassic World Evolution 2 and Trek to Yomi for free on your PlayStation 5 (and PS4)? A month before that, you could add GRID Legends, Chivalry 2 and Descenders to your game library for free.
It is not yet known until when it will be possible to download June’s free games, but PS Plus members had until June 6 to claim May’s free games. Therefore, the smartest thing to do is always to download the free PlayStation 5 games as soon as possible.
What if you don’t have a PS5 yet?
If you don’t currently own a PlayStation 5, you may be wondering what to do with free games for the PS5. While many of the free PS Plus games are also available for the PlayStation 4, more and more PS5-only games are being added to the list.
Although you’re still playing on your PS4 right now, this is a great opportunity to add the PlayStation 5 games to your library already. After all, should you ever do make the switch to Sony’s newer console, you’ll already start with a nice filled library of games developed specifically for the PS5. The PlayStation Plus games will also remain available as long as you remain a member of the subscription service.
