Star Wars Knight of the Old Republic II is an immensely popular game with an incredible fan base. So it’s no surprise that the game, which first appeared in 2004, has been re-released for the Nintendo Switch. Something to be excited about. Would you think…
The port to the Nintendo Switch, performed by Aspyr Media, unfortunately didn’t go quite right. As a result, it is currently impossible for gamers to finish the game. Say what!!!
Why you can’t play out Star Wars KOTOR II
It is becoming clear on social media that Star Wars KOTOR II, for the Nintendo Switch, is carrying with it a nasty bug. The game, which was ported to the handheld by Aspyr Media, is unfortunately unplayable as a result. As soon as you, the player, get to the cutscene that appears after the Basilisk Crash, the game stops. Then the game resumes at a point just before the cutscene and it happens again.

Aspyr Media states that the developer is aware of the problem. They are currently working on a solution, but there is no indication of when this will be implemented. In short: for the time being you will not be able to complete the Nintendo Switch game.
An icon on the Nintendo Switch
It’s no surprise that Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II has come to the Nintendo Switch. The game has had a lot of success in the past, as has Nintendo’s console. Currently, it has sold about 107 million copies. Fortunately, the game is well liked by many gamers. On Metacritic, the game has received an average score of 79 from critics and gamers themselves give the game a 74.
Star Wars KOTOR II, aka The Sith Lords, does not find its endgame in the Nintendo Switch. A new version for the PlayStation 5 and PC is also currently planned.
