Xbox Game Pass gets more Ubisoft games (and starts off right)

Do you like playing games from Ubisoft? Then Microsoft has good news for you. Several titles are coming to Xbox Game Pass.

Xbox Game Pass is the game lover’s Valhalla. The subscription service of the Microsoft has an awful lot of titles that you can play for a fixed amount per month. There are now a number of big names to be added.

Even more Ubisoft on Xbox Game Pass

Microsoft is now revealing that a good number of Ubisoft games are coming to the Xbox Game Pass, which is of course good news. Ubisoft has some incredibly great titles in its portfolio.

Two names coming to Game Pass have already been announced. These include For Honor: Marching Fire Edition and Assassin’s Creed Origins, which you can play through the subscription service in the next two months.

For Honor has been on Xbox Game Pass for a while now. So with Marching Fire, the update will soon be available. It’s the start of a more intense collaboration between Microsoft and Ubisoft, with more games set to appear on the subscription service in the months to come.

Good Friends

The relationship between Microsoft and Ubisoft has been good for a while. For example, shooter Rainbow Six Extraction came out simultaneously with its launch on Xbox Game Pass. It is possible that this will now happen more often due to the expanded collaboration. It is now also waiting for more volumes of Assassin’s Creed, Ghost Recon and Far Cry to come to the platform.

The partnership with Ubisoft could be an important step for Microsoft. In June, PlayStation plans to launch a similar service with PS Plus. Still, Xbox Game Pass has a big advantage. Whereas Sony does not immediately offer its first-party titles like Horizon and God of War in the subscription service, Xbox does with games like Forza and Halo.

Of course, the closer cooperation could also lead to other rumors. There is currently a war going on between Microsoft and Sony regarding acquisitions of game publishers. For example, Microsoft recently took over Activision Blizzard and Sony went for Bungie. Microsoft could thus issue a new uppercut.
