The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 is still a while away, but the rumor mill has been running at full speed for ages. Several leaks are throwing oil on the fire and giving fans exactly what they want: a first glimpse of next summer’s foldable Android phone.
That first impression, by the way, is being perfectly shaped by OnLeaks and Smartprix. The two parties are joining forces to bring out renders of the smartphone. Renders that show exactly what the power of the new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold is.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5: this is what the Android smartphone does better
OnLeaks and Smartprix give us an early reveal of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 this week. It’s not official, of course, but it perfectly maps out the previous leaked specs. So that’s how we know what this foldable Android smartphone is likely to look like.
Leaked information previously gave us the idea that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 would not bring any earth-shattering changes, not in terms of design at least. Nevertheless, small changes can be found that will make the device look a bit sleeker.
OnLeaks is a Twitter user known for leaking unannounced technologies. He has in the past provided accurate information about unannounced smartphones and tablets from various brands, including Samsung, Apple and Google. He uses his Twitter account to share renders and information about upcoming products.
A big part of this is the new sizes. In this case, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 offers 154.9mm x 129.9mm x 6.3mm. With the previous model, it was 155.1mm x 130.1mm x 6.3mm. It may not seem like a big difference, but a new hinge makes for a pleasant change.
Once folded, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 will be a bit thinner from now on. That’s nice when it’s in the pocket or on the table. A change that, despite the small difference, is really quite pleasant.

Money Must Roll
The biggest difference is probably really in the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip chilling under the hood, armed with enough processing power to handle the toughest tasks with ease. Ideal, if you ask us.
So the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 will be a minor upgrade, but it won’t be without financial implications. Hopes that the Android smartphone will be cheaper than its predecessor have been somewhat dashed by now.
Expected recommended retail price: 1799 euros.
