The quick bite | new information Samsung Galaxy S24 leaked and trouble for Marvel

The colors of the Samsung Galaxy S24 have been leaked, and there are big problems for Marvel. This is The Quick Bite from Tuesday, December 20, 2023.

Welcome to The Quick Bite, our column in which we list Tuesday through Friday morning news from the previous night for you. That way you’ll quickly be up to date on everything surrounding technology and pop culture.

Last night, quite a bit of Samsung news was leaked. In addition, Apple and Samsung have to deal with major setbacks.

Samsung again fails to adjust Galaxy S25 camera

Earlier there were rumors that the Samsung Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus would get a Sony camera sensor. However, that does not seem to be the case if we are to believe the usually reliable X’er Revegnus. He shares some bad news.
According to the X user, Samsung may still choose to use the Isocell GN3 Sensor. The company used this in the S23, and in all likelihood it will also come in the S24 that will be presented this winter.

Indeed, technically that sensor is the same as the one used in the S22 and S21. So Samsung seems to be using the same camera sensor for five years.

I’m sorry… everyone… It’s reported that Samsung may use the GN3 in the S25/25+.

More colors for the Samsung Galaxy S24

From the Samsung Galaxy S25 we move on to the S24, which will be released this winter. Revegunus has news about that too. He has surfaced the different versions of the devices where the colors and memory are also listed.

According to the listing, the Samsung Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus will come out in four different colors: black, gray, yellow and violet. With that, you also seem to be able to choose from 3 different sizes in terms of memory: 256 GB, 512 GB and 1 TB.

The X user also has information about S24 Ultra. Also with this device, you have a choice of black, gray, yellow and violet. In terms of memory, you also choose from 256 GB, 512 GB and 1 TB.

Marvel seems to have to look for new supervillain

The Marvel Cinematic Universe appears to be over for Jonathan Majors. He has been found guilty by the US court for assaulting his girlfriend. Because Disney is strict in its rules of conduct, the entertainment company does not want to see the actor back in its films.

A Marvel Studios representative confirmed the decision to Deadline. So it has to look for a new actor as the supervillain.

Majors played the role of Kang the Conqueror in several Marvel series and movies. On May 1, 2026, the character should even get his own movie. How Disney and Marvel now plan for the future is still in limbo.

Apple Watch Series 9 and Ultra 2 not on sale in the United States for now

Apple will stop selling the Apple Watch Series 9 and Ultra 2 in the United States. This is due to a patent battle between the manufacturer and medical company Masimo.

The two companies disagree over the technique used in the sensor that measures the amount of oxygen in the blood. According to Masimo, Apple is using a technique described in a patent held by the medical company.

The International Trace Commission (ITC) has now ruled that Apple cannot sell the smartwatches for the time being. On Dec. 21, Apple will remove the watches from its website, and as of Dec. 24, they will no longer be in stores.

Next iPad Pro supports charging via MagSafe

We’re sticking with Apple, but in this case it’s a little better news. Since 2020, it has been possible to charge your iPhone via MagSafe. Soon to follow is the new version of the iPad Pro if Bloomberg is to be believed.

Apple seems to have been working on bringing MagSafe to the iPad since 2021, but it hasn’t succeeded all this time. Yet now there really seems to be a breakthrough. At issue will be the 11.1-inch iPad Pro and the 13-inch iPad Pro that are scheduled to arrive.

The big question is exactly how Apple will go about it. Will it opt for the MagSafe variant of the iPhone, or rather that of the MacBook. If the iPhone variant is chosen, there is one difference that does need to be resolved. The phones, unlike the tablets, have a glass back. Perhaps then the iPad should get one as well. Anyway, that’s all still speculation.
