We haven’t really heard much about it since the 2017 announcement, but the new Tesla Roadster seems to be coming after all. So, especially now that the Cybertruck is actually hitting US roads, it’s only a matter of time before we can finally get a look at the electric car.
At least Elon Musk knows how to steer the hype well, as on X he hooks up with the promise of getting the new Roadster to 100 kilometers per hour in 1.1 seconds. What’s more, he throws a spanner in the works.

New Tesla electric car is insanely fast
In 2017, the Tesla Roadster was announced with the promise that the electric car would accelerate from 0 kilometers per hour to 100 kilometers per hour in a time of just 1.9 seconds. Mouths fell open, but in 2021, Elon Musk added to it. Within 1.1 seconds, the job had to be done.
Meanwhile, three years have passed and Elon Musk comes with an even bigger promise. The Tesla CEO reveals that the new Roadster is so fast that it will fly to 100 kilometers per hour in less than a second.

Radical design to be seen late this year
By the way, Musk is doing this after earlier sending out a message about the design of the electric car. According to the CEO, the vehicle will have a radical design. “There will never be another car like this … if you can call it a car at all,” he let it be known.
If everything goes according to plan, which is usually not the case with Tesla, we will be able to admire the electric car for the first time by the end of this year. Musk reveals that the production design is at least ready. Starting in 2025, the Roadster should come to people.
