The Google Play Store is full of quality Android games straight from consoles. That’s a positive thing, of course, but it’s tough to sift through all the way. Fortunately, WANT has already done the work for you.
Keep in mind that this is a list of the best Android support. That means the quality of the mobile version outweighs the gaming experience. After all, not every game translates well to the mobile space, and some developers succeed where others fail. These five games passed the test.
5 console games that made a flawless transition to Android
Our list includes games from a variety of genres and there is something for both beginners and advanced gamers. Most of the games in the list cost money or have a paid version. While that’s obviously not ideal, if you have the money it’s a worthwhile investment. Is there something for you?
1. Call of Duty for Android
Call of Duty, the ultimate first-person shooter, has managed to make a flawless transition to Android. All the action you expect from Call of Duty has been redesigned for optimization on mobile devices, so it’s now all at your fingertips. With battle royale, 5v5 deathmatch, sniper vs. sniper modes, among others, COD mobile is in its 10th season for a reason. The touchscreen controls work fine, but for the best gaming experience, we still recommend you hook up a Bluetooth controller. You even have the option to customize which parts of the game you want to install, so you don’t have to use the full file size.

2. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
Castlevania managed to transcend the concept of mere platforming and climbed to a kind of subgenre of its own. The Android version does not disappoint either. The only downside we could find is the touch controls. This is because the various controls are quite close together. Fortunately, you can easily solve this by using a Bluetooth controller.
For just 3 euros, you get access to the entire game without microtransactions, options for English or Japanese voice-acting (plus subtitles in a bunch of languages), controller support and a stable frame rate.

3. Chrono Trigger
Chrono Trigger is a game you must have played if you are a fan of Japanese Role Playing. The game has memorable stories, charming and memorable characters, a fantastic world and of course strategic and engaging gameplay with high replay value. The Android variant brings this legendary game into the hands of players who might otherwise never have had access to it.
The port is optimized for mobile devices, so don’t expect a direct one-to-one copy of the original. Indeed, the graphics are slightly smoother and the audio has been cleaned up for modern gamers. On-screen controls are decent, but we prefer controller support with this game as well. Chrono Trigger undoubtedly belongs to the giants of the JRPG genre, so if you have never played the game then this is your chance. For 9.99 euros the game is yours!

Yes you read that right, the game is not suitable for players who get frustrated easily. There are many different playstyles to explore in Dead Cells, all of which you must employ to defeat the powerful bosses.
The Android version of Dead Cells is fully optimized for mobile use and stands out with solid touchscreen controls. In addition, the game features a great soundtrack and beautiful graphics. The game will cost you 8.99 euros, but is more than worth it.

5. Gorogoa
We close the list with a somewhat quieter game. For Gorogoa is the ideal game for puzzle junkies. Gorogoa is a fascinating puzzle game that consists of breathtaking visuals and asks you to rearrange and combine different panels in unique ways to solve puzzles. In addition to the amazing visual presentations, the game tells a deeper story with these illustrations.
However, the hypervisual focus makes Gorgoa a must-have for Android, as the controls have been adapted to mobile use. You’ll only finish the game a little faster than the other Android games in this list, but that shouldn’t spoil the fun. So if you are looking for a high quality puzzle game, look no further.
