Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, like its predecessors, has several missions you can explore in the game’s open world. One of these may be the precursor to the game’s yet-to-be-announced DLC.
While 2020’s Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales did not have DLC, the first title in the series, 2018’s Marvel’s Spider-Man, did. So developer Insomniac Games might just have a sequel to the game in store. And of course, we can’t wait for that.
Beware: this post contains spoilers
If it’s up to us, this will be Spider-Man 2’s new DLC
In one of Spider-Man 2’s side stories, Yuri Watanabe battles a sadistic cult called “The Flame. This takes place right after the events of The City That Never Sleeps. Because of Yuri’s actions, another officer died. Therefore, in Spider-Man 2, Yuri took on an alter-ego, Wraith.
Wraith doesn’t mind killing villains. She would rather lie awake over one person she killed than all the people she failed to save. Peter disagrees and prefers not to use lethal force. But they end up working together. Yuri even chooses to save Peter instead of going after the cult.
Yuri has promised to track down the remaining members of The Flame. In Spider-Man 2, that hasn’t happened yet. So maybe we can explore her story in a new DLC. It would be crazy to play as Wraith and see the end of her battle with The Flame.

Then we’ll also see more of this character
In Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Peter discovers that the villain behind The Flame is none other than Cletus Kasady, also known as Carnage. Kasady has obtained a symbiote from Oscorp at the end and announced that Carnage will take place.
Many viewers criticized the 2021 film Venom: Let There Be Carnage. According to people, Kasady was portrayed as less evil than in the original comics, so the film would receive a Pegi-13 rating. Therefore, it could be interesting for the creators to portray the Carnage character better than in the movie in a possible DLC.
Although the main story of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is complete and can be enjoyed on its own, any DLC will be a great side-track to explore further. And it just might lead to new ideas for Marvel’s Spider-Man 3. Hopefully we’ll get more information soon.
