Apple today announced a new iPhone 14. Well new, of course the iPhone 14 has been around for six months. The smartphone is getting a new lick of paint. Yellow to be exact.
It has now become tradition at Apple. In spring, the company releases a new color for its phone. This time it has become canary yellow, or as Apple itself calls it: radiant yellow.
The new yellow iPhone 14
Every year Apple comes out with a special color for the iPhone. For example, last year we saw dark green appear and in 2021 it was the turn of purple. This year, too, the company is opting for a new hue. The company has the sun in its sights and comes up with radiant yellow.
Well, that’s the only new thing about the phone, because otherwise it has all the specs of the regular iPhone 14. That means there’s just the A15 chip on the inside and the same screen on the outside.
Both the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus will soon be available in canary yellow. The 14 Pro and Pro Max will not get a fresh new lick of paint. The yellow 14 and 14 Plus will be available starting at $1,016 and $1,166, respectively.
Want a yellow iPhone 14 or 14 Plus? Then you can order it from Friday, March 10, 2 p.m. Dutch time. The delivery service will deliver it on March 14. This way you will be both literally and figuratively the shining center of attention when you pull it out of your pocket.
Also new cases
Earlier this week, new leather cases leaked for the iPhone 14. It is likely that we will see them on Apple’s website soon. The company itself has not yet unveiled these, so it remains to be seen if they will actually come out.

Still, it’s not a strange thought, as Apple always comes out with new color options for its cases in the spring. In any case, a yellow silicone case for the iPhone 14 does not need to come, as it is already there.
