At Mobile World Congress 2024 (MWC 2024), Energizer is showing an Android smartphone that you can use for a week on a single charge. Potbelly.
Energizer has pretty much rocked many a technology trade show over the past couple of years with hugely chunky smartphones that have battery life that’s unbelievable. The Mobile World Congress (2024) in Barcelona is no exception.
Together with Avenir Telecom, the company is releasing an Android smartphone with a 28,000 mAh battery. In other words, charge this device once and you can use it for the rest of the week.
Android smartphone lasts a week
The Hard Case P28K, that’s the name of the Android gem from Energizer and Avenir Telecom. Perhaps not the sexiest name for a phone, but then again it is not the sexiest device to look at. Impressive it is, however.
An Android smartphone with an average battery life of 122 hours and a standby time of 2253 hours. Yes, you do indeed need a hefty 28,000 mAh battery for that. So does that make such a device attractive in terms of design? Certainly not, as the Hard Case P28K has the appearance of a brick.

But a brick that you can just make calls with, watch your favorite videos on TikTok or even read the latest smartphone news on WANT. For a week without having to charge it for even a second. How good is that?
Well, if you forget for a moment the weight of 570 grams and the thickness of 28.8 mm (three times the size of an iPhone 15). Actually quite tasty.
What else does the Energizer Hard Case P28K do?
The Hard Case P28K is more than just a battery. It has a 6.78-inch LCD display with Full HD resolution and features a triple-camera system. On that front, the Android smartphone carries a 64-megapixel, 20-megapixel and 2-megapixel lens.
There is 4G support, a MediaTek M6789 chipset, 8GB of working memory, 256GB of storage and Android 14.
The Energizer Hard Case P28K will be available in the Netherlands starting in October. The price tag is 249.99 euros.
