OnePlus 12 arrives in January but what can the Android

OnePlus 12 arrives in January, but what can the Android smartphone do?

The OnePlus 12 is the new flagship from OnePlus. Although the Android smartphone has now seen the light of day, in Europe we still have to wait until next month. No problem, because we now know what we’re getting.

Before the launch in China, OnePlus already introduced us to the design of the new smartphone. It did so through a trailer, and thanks to last week’s presentation, we just know even more.

The OnePlus 12 is logically a step up from the current flagship, but in what areas do we notice it?

Customization of the Alert Slider

On the new teaser, we actually see very little. We only get a glimpse of the back of the OnePlus 12, and it seems that the phone has not changed very much from its predecessor. Still, there is one notable change: the Alert Slider.

The physical switch that lets you switch between mute, vibrate and ring settings has been moved to the left side. Ideal for when gaming. This is because it allows you to hold the phone horizontally without covering the antenna.

The new camera of the OnePlus 12

The OnePlus 12 still has cameras on the back. But if you look closely, you can see that there appear to be four of them. The lower right part contained a flash in last year’s OnePlus 11. Instead, the OnePlus 12 has a small lens next to something that appears to be a light or a small flash.

The circular disc around the cameras looks the same size as the one on the OnePlus 11, although here it appears to be translucent instead of glossy black.

OnePlus gave more information about the brand new smartphone last Tuesday. Among other things, the OnePlus 12 will come with a 6.82-inch OLED display of 3168 x 1440 pixels, a 50-megapixel sensor and a 64-megapixel sensor with 3x zoom. So a historically fast and bright display is in line with expectations.

When exactly the smartphone will be released we do not yet know. We do know that OnePlus plans to release its latest addition in early 2024. So with any luck, we won’t have to wait very long.
