Running out of iPhone battery quickly? These tips from an Apple employee will make it last longer

Is your iPhone battery always draining sooner than you expect? Then it may be useful to take measures. These tips will help you do just that.

It’s pretty irritating when your iPhone battery runs out, especially when you just need it and you don’t have your charger with you. So sometimes it can be wise to use your phone sparingly, but how do you do it right?

Tyler Morgan, former Apple sales specialist, offers several tips for making your iPhone’s battery last longer via TikTok. We share them with you.

Here’s how to save your iPhone’s battery

Tyler Morgan shares 12 tips for making your iPhone’s battery last longer in his TikTok. It turns out to be a real hit, as more than 12 million people watched his video. Some are very obvious, while other tips you may not have thought of.

The first tips have to do with battery condition, so the capacity stays good longer and you don’t have to replace the battery so soon. For example, Morgan indicates that it’s better to charge to 80 percent instead of 100 and that you shouldn’t charge overnight.

Morgan’s other tips have mostly to do with battery life. Some are obvious. These include not giving apps permission to run in the background and not always sharing your location. Or what about the always-on feature of your iPhone Pro. Or leaving your screen on too long. After all, this costs energy.

But there are also tips on things that are less noticeable. These include automatically adjusting the brightness of your screen, or limiting your screen refresh rate to 60 Hz, on iPhone Pro models.

You can also choose to disable Bluetooth. The downside to this is that you also can’t connect to an Apple Watch or AirPods, for example.

Is it really useful?

OK, these are all tips to save battery on your iPhone, but the question is whether you really want it. For example, you buy an iPhone Pro -model partly because you want better picture quality due to the extra refresh rates. If you don’t turn that on anyway, you might wonder why you want an iPhone.

So you have to find your own balance and choose measures that really suit you. Some features and apps do cost energy, but give you much more convenience. If none of that matters, you might as well pull out an old Nokia. However, these measures can come in handy if you go a long time without charging and really need your phone.
