Xiaomi goes after iPhone and Samsung with this new feature

The Xiaomi 14 Ultra is supposed to be the new flagship of the Chinese brand. The Ultra version will have a feature that we have already seen on the iPhone and Samsung.

After Apple brought the titanium iPhone 15 pro, Samsung followed that trend with the Galaxy S24 Ultra. So other brands will not be left behind. One of these may become Xiaomi.

With the launch of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra getting closer and closer, more and more people are expecting it to be accompanied by an ultra version. And this variant might very well be made of titanium, just like the iPhone and Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra.

Chasing the iPhone 15 Pro and Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra

Not much information is yet available about the unannounced Xiaomi 14 Ultra. However, rumors abound. For example, we can expect that the 14 Ultra will not be made entirely of titanium, but that Xiaomi will opt for a titanium midframe. This way, the company will have the chance to use the same strategy as with the regular 14. This was previously launched in China.

Xiaomi may then release a special version made entirely of titanium alongside the “regular” 14 Ultra. Especially for the people who don’t mind spending some extra money on a phone. So then it will be totally like the iPhone 15 Pro and the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra.

What else is Xiaomi planning?

Meanwhile, the specifications of the new Xiaomi 14 also seem to have leaked. These then differ somewhat from the iPhone 15 Pro and Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. For example, the usually well-informed 91Mobiles expects three different variants based on storage. A version with 12GB RAM + 256GB storage, one with 16GB + 512GB and a variant with 16GB + 1TB. Under the hood will be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor.

Android Headlines goes even a step further. The medium reports that we can expect a 6.73-inch QHD+ AMOLED LTPO display with a 120Hz refresh rate. In addition, according to them, you can also count on a set of several 50-megapixel cameras on the back.

So whether the Xiaomi 14 Ultra can really compete with the iPhone 15 Pro and Samsung galaxy S24 Ultra we will presumably see at the end of the month, when the smartphone may be launched.
