The Xiaomi 12 is the new flagship of the eponymous brand. Still, we have to wait a while in Europe for the smartphone.
The Xiaomi 12 has already been released at the end of December in China. The phone promises a lot for a reasonable price. Unfortunately, there is still a problem: the smartphone is not yet coming to the rest of the world. However, it seems we now know when we will be able to buy it.
Will the Xiaomi 12 come around this time?
Well known leaker Muku Sharma now lets us know when we can expect the Xiaomi 12 in the rest of the world. He tells MySmartPrice that the device will be available in late February or early March. That makes it a little later than the brand’s previous flagship. The Mi 11 came out at the end of December 2020 and was then available in early February.
A total of three models of the Xiaomi 12 will be released. In addition to the regular version, there is also a 12X and 12 Pro. The 12 and 12 Pro have a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC under the hood, while the 12X has to make do with a Snapdragon 870.
Super fast charging
Perhaps the most special thing about the Xiaomi 12 Pro is the charging speed of the device. It gets 120W charging, giving your phone a full battery in no time. Additionally, the Pro has a slightly larger screen than the regular version: 6.73 inches versus 6.28 inches. However, they are both Amoled screens with a 120Hz refresh rate.
The camera of the Xiaomi 12 Pro is also just a bit better than that of the standard version. Want to know more about the different models? Then read this article.
This is how much the phone costs
The prices in China have also been announced. If we convert those to Dutch prices, it means that the Xiaomi 12 will cost 510 euros and the 12 Pro 650 euros. Whether that will actually be the price, we will probably know later this year when the phone is actually released.
