The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is delivering gaming enthusiasts a brand new Nintendo Switch OLED. During a presentation, where we got to see new gameplay footage of the sequel to Breath of the Wild, the console suddenly popped up.
Whereas Tears of the Kingdom will only be playable from May 12, fans can already get their hands on the unique version of the Nintendo Switch OLED from April 28.
New Nintendo Switch for Tears of the Kingdom
Unique it certainly is, as Nintendo never until now released a Switch entirely dedicated to The Legend of Zelda. So it should be clear that it is shaping up to be a spicy good year for fans of the franchise.
The new Nintendo Switch features an updated design. The Joy-Cons have been completely modified in Zelda style and the holder for your television looks a bit sleeker. Other than that, then, the Switch just offers the same 7-inch display, the 64GB of storage capacity and all the other specs we already know.
In addition to the revamped Nintendo Switch, the Japanese company is also releasing two new accessories. In honor of Tears of the Kingdom, a brand new Pro controller will also appear on the market. This, as well as the revamped protective case, will go on sale starting May 12.
Gameplay steals the show
A new Nintendo Switch is always cool, but it’s the gameplay footage that creates enthusiasm at the editorial office. During the presentation, Eiji Aonuma, the producer of The Legend of Zelda series, revealed that the development of Tears of the Kingdom is complete.
The Legend of Zelda
The Legend of Zelda is a popular action-adventure video game franchise developed by Nintendo. It follows the hero Link as he goes on missions to rescue Princess Zelda and save the kingdom of Hyrule, with puzzles, exploration and battles against enemies.
So if there was a time to give fans a good taste of the Nintendo Switch game in advance, it was now. It gave us some thirteen minutes of gameplay footage last night.
Set the table, friends. It’s feasting time!
