Get ready for WWDC 2023 with this Apple Music playlist

WWDC 2023 kicks off with a keynote on June 5, and we assume there will be great music playing while we wait for the show to begin. Now Apple Music has shared a playlist of music we’re sure to hear.

The playlist, called WWDC 23 Power Up, has 25 songs from the likes of Miley Cyrus, the Jonas Brothers and Ed Sheeran. Pretty eclectic, in other words.

Apple gets you in the mood for WWDC in advance

Apple Music listeners can now get themselves in the mood for the big day of Apple’s software and hardware unveilings at WWDC while they wait for the day to arrive.

WWDC is always an important part of Apple’s annual calendar, but this year it is being taken to the next level. After years (centuries by our standards) of rumors, we expect Apple to announce the Reality Pro AR/VR headset. It’s a $3,000 headset that’s either the next big thing or a rare hardware fiasco for the iPhone maker. The latter wouldn’t be the first time. (Pippin?)

In addition to the headset, Apple is going to announce the largest MacBook Air yet. The 15-inch MacBook Air is likely to be powered by M2 Apple Silicon, while there are also rumors that Apple is finally saying goodbye to Intel on behalf of the Mac Pro for good.

Exciting. We’ll see: but here’s a playlist that’s going to make you happy in the run-up.

New updates for your iOS

On the software front, iOS 17 is sure to play a big role during WWDC. But iPadOS 17, macOS 14 and tvOS 17 will also make their debut during WWDC. The watchOS 10 update for the Apple Watch is expected to be the biggest in years, with new widgets on the way, according to previous leaks.

So your watch is likely to get even smarter.

Just a little longer to wait for your Apple hardware and updates

Like the Reality Pro headset, none of that software will be released immediately. Instead, a September or October release is likely, along with new Apple Watch and iPhone hardware.

By the way, you can watch the opening keynote of WWDC 2023 online on Monday, June 5 at 7 a.m., and we’ll cover all the details in detail here. Are you looking forward to it, too?
